3 Gifts Green:
1. I am thankful for green waste in the form of mulch. Delivered free. And yes, a truckload is a lot, but I reckon the yard will need a fair chunk of it. I am thankful that within minutes of uttering a “please God send someone to help me” style of prayer, someone drove past and asked if they can come and get some! Then my neighbour came over and shovelled for a bi...t too!
I am thankful that I spent 6mths doing Michelle Bridges 12WBT cos now I am fit enough to shovel, bag and climb 50 stairs with each trip. So, I am thinking of this as Tough Mudder-style training, that will only make me stronger and fitter. Better than being bitter that my ex hasn’t helped at all yet….just sayin.
2. Green eyed monster. Only one time in my life have I been jealous when dating someone. All other times I never felt it. Im thankful for the warning sign that something wasn’t quite perfect, but also the feeling that I thought he was perfect for me. Relationships are a tricky business, and the intensity of my jealousy was only matched by the intensity of the love I felt for this person. That intrigues me.
3. I’m thankful for the national park that is close by, that will be lush and green after all this rain. We have had a full on hot summer and the ground has become dry and bush-fire ready. So looking out my window this morning and seeing everything soaked, and the grass a deep shade of green makes me happy.
